Hello, my name is Tara. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy (SFT), motivational interviewing, along with a strengths-based therapy approach. I have experience working with children, adults, couples, families, and older adults 65 and older.
I work with various clients. My ideal clients range in age from 7-95. I have experience with providing adoption competent therapy to all members of the adoption constellation to include adoptees, first or birth parents, adoptive parents, and all other family impacted by adoption trauma. Other areas of expertise include working with individuals and couples who have experienced infertility or have reached a plateau in their relationship for various other reasons. I work with clients who are experiencing difficulties related to maternal and paternal mental health to include anxiety, depression, and intrusive thoughts. I have additional experience helping patients process through the loss of a loved one and the grief that is associated with this loss. I often work with clients who live with chronic pain, sleep disorders, various medical complexities, as well as active duty military members and their families.
My clients say that I am attentive, warm, relatable, funny, and motivating. My goal is to ensure you feel seen, heard, and at ease as we get to know one another.
I spend our sessions getting to know you as a person, where you come from, what motivates you, what brings you hope and joy, and how we can get you to the next steps in your healing journey. Once you begin healing, my hope for you is that you will start the process of re-connecting with yourself and those around you.
